It was Auto Locator Night at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night and what a great night it was. Three features for the price of two and a lot of "CONTACT" stock car racing. In the 30-lap feature for NASCAR Modifieds, Meme DeSantis, a veteran modified racing talent, was able to take the lead at the drop of the green and lead all the laps to win the event and the $2500 first place money. DeSantis hooked up with long time car owner Norm Hansell during the off season and it could be the strongest team at Grandview Speedway this season. Second spot went to Kutztown's Randy Bailey while Keith Brightbill, son of modified racing legend Kenny Brightbill, finished a strong third.
In the first  20-lap Late Model feature Ray Mancinelli of Chalfont, PA was the winner. Mancinelli is a rookie at Grandview Speedway and just recently moved to the area from Norman, Oklahoma where he was a three time Pro Stock champion at his local speedway. The second 20-lapper for the Late Models was won by Lou Egrie, Philadelphia, as he was able to hold off the challenges in the final laps of Chuck Schutz. Third spot went to Mancinelli. Fans in the stands had the opportunity to grab up some Auto Locator t-shirts, and they are beauties, and some Auto Locator hats. All of the qualifying heat winners were able to earn extra cash for their efforts courtesy of Auto Locator.
This Saturday night, 7 p.m. the NASCAR Modifieds will run in two 30-lap features and there will be a 20-lap main event for Late Models. A full series of qualifying events will also be presented as part of Cargo Trailers Night with Hennings Scale Models sponsoring a special Cash Dash for the Late Models.
LANCE DEWEASE AND CHAD LAYTON were the feature winners at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night. Dewease won the 25-lap 410 sprint car race while Chad Layton was tops in the limited sprints for the third time this season. Dewease's win puts him in front in the battle for the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass track point title.
The mighty, at one time that might have been true, midgets of the American Racing Drivers Club will make their only appearance of the season at Williams Grove Speedway. The 410 sprint cars will also be featured in the 8 p.m. show. This will be the last opportunity for the Grove's sprint car racers, many of them known as the PA Posse, to dial-in their cars for the season's first invasion by the Pennzoil World of Outlaws.
Danny Lasoski, currently the top ranked sprint car driver in the nation according to a recent National Sprint Car Poll, will headline the show along with Steve Kinser, leading the standings as this is being written and Mark Kinser.
