Children, ages 12 and under, who arrive at Wall Township Speedway on Saturday evening (October 9) with a bicycle and helmet, ready to race, will be admitted free of charge when the third-mile paved oval offers its first ever "Bike Night" festivities. Although the center of the pre-race activities will be on track bicycle racing with plenty of prizes offered, the night will also offer a large focus on bicycle riding safety.
When the youngsters compete with their bikes while wearing their helmets, Pete and Elda’s Bar/Carmen’s Pizzeria in nearby Neptune City will be offering plenty of awards, as approximately $1,000 in bicycles will be distributed. George Andretta, the driver of the Pete and Elda’s Bar/Carmen’s Pizzeria No. 29 Pro Stock, plans to be on hand trackside for all the two-wheeled action.
On the track, the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series action should be fast and furious. The night’s racecar action, sponsored by Investor’s Saving Bank, will feature the Modifieds in a 35-lapper, the Pro Stocks in a 25-lapper, the Street Stocks in a 25-lap feature and the Truck Series racers in a 20-lap main event.
