Williams Grove Speedway will conclude its 2004 racing season with the running of the fourth annual Fall Fest on Saturday evening, October 16. There was no racing at Williams Grove during the weekend of October 8-10.
The Fall Fest will feature five divisions of racing with the 410 c.i.-powered Williams Grove sprint cars as the headline attraction. Three other sprint divisions are also on the card led by the 358 c.i.-powered cars that appeared at Williams Grove on ten previous
occasions throughout the year.
The Pennsylvania 305 sprints will be making their second start of the season and the South Jersey Jasper sprints will be making their first ever appearance at this historic half-mile clay speedway. There will be no qualifying for any of the sprint car classes. Participation will be by invitation only.
The 410 c.i. sprint car feature will be 25 laps in distance. The other three features will each be 20 laps.
A 75-lap enduro for stock cars will follow the completion of all sprint car racing.
The first feature is scheduled to begin at 6:00.
While the support divisions have changed over the years the headline 410s and the 358s have participated in each of the three previous Fall Fests.  Millerstown, PA's Todd Shaffer won the inaugural 410 event in 2001 and Greg Hodnett of Memphis, Tennessee is the two-time defending champion.
The 358 division has produced three different winners with 2004 track champion Chad Layton winning the first followed by Adrian Shaffer in 2002 and Blane Heimbach last year.
Further information concerning the Fall Fest can be obtained by contacting the Speedway office at 717.697.5000.
SHAWN REIMERT PLANS TRIPLE DUTY IN GRANDVIEW THUNDER 5-25'S The NAPA Auto Parts/COMDIAL Telephone Communications Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will close out the 2004 racing season at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 16 with the wildly popular Grandview THUNDER 5-25's features only racing event. On the program will be the DIRT SE Big Block Modifieds, NASCAR Modifieds, URC Sprints, Late Models and the Keystone Legends with each division competing in a 25 lap feature. Also on the card will be two added attractions, the Fred's Trailer Center/Valley Forge INC URC Non-Winners Feature plus the 5 lap feature for the Vintage Thunder restored race cars. Racing action will begin at 6 PM. The House of THUNDER Halloween Party show will be filled with some tricks and plenty of treats to include popular Oley, PA driver Shawn Reimert racing in three of the five feature events.
Reimert will have a busy night racing in the DIRT SE Big Block Modified feature as well as the NASCAR Modified feature. As an added treat, Reimert will also be a provisional starter in the 25 lap Late Model Feature. Driving a late model owned by John Mutter of Pottstown, PA and sponsored by Precision Contracting Services of Devon, PA and associate sponsor Kochel Equipment of Elverson, PA., Reimert is looking for a possible clean sweep. Driving a 2001 Masterbilt chassis Late Model with the #0, Reimert will start scratch and have just twenty-five laps to charge to the front. Reimert wheeled this Late Model at the Central PA Speedway in Clearfield, PA as well as the Clinton County Speedway just last weekend. "I'm having a bunch of fun with this car and they are very cool to drive . . . . I can see how people get hooked on them very easy," commented Reimert when he announced his plans.
With a minimum of twenty starters in each of the 5-25 lap feature events, more then 100 race cars will fill the pits and that doesn't include the competitors in the URC Non-Winners Feature and the Vintage Thunder cars. Something very unique about this program is that every car in the pits will be in a feature event and every driver racing will receive earnings. This event has no un-qualified cars and no one goes home without a pay check.
Along with the always entertaining Grandview Thunder 5-25's, expect the usual Thunder on the Hill fan friendly fun and excitement to include many give away treats provided by Jay Dugan of JD3Graphics Lettering & Design. Fans are also invited to dress in costume and you just might be invited to participate in the Victory Lane ceremonies.
Come on out and see the Monstrous Modifieds of the DIRT SE Series, the Nasty NASCAR Modifieds, the Spooky Sprints of URC, the Looney Late Models and the Ghostly Keystone Legends. Pit gates open at 2:30 PM with the doors of the House of Thunder opening at 3:30 PM. The first feature of the night will take the green flag at 6 PM. Admission for the Grandview THUNDER 5-25's is $20 for adults, $5 for children 6-11 and children under the age of 6 will be admitted free. Pit admission is $25 and a license in not required.

LINCOLN SPEEDWAY had Fred Rahmer in victory lane on Saturday night winning the prestigious 40-lap Kenny Weld Memorial for 410 sprint cars. And we are told he did it in dramatic fashion has he finished with a bent side panel on his top wing damaged in an incident with Brian Leppo while the two battled for the lead under the flagstand on the 35th lap.
“We were pretty good and Greg (Hodnett) was running awful good, but he blew a tire and I saw that Cris (Eash) was blowing up when I went by him,” said Rahmer in victory lane. “I could smell is motor going away. We weren’t the fastest car, but we won.”
Rahmer, who is the track champion for the sixth time, has had a very impressive record this season. Saturday night’s win was his 33rd win of the season in 410 sprint car competition (tying his best season ever) and he has 82 top-five finishes and 99 top ten finishes in 106 races this year. In addition to Lincoln Rahmer is the champion at Williams Grove, Susquehanna Speedway Park, Thunder on the Hill at Grandview Speedway and Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek.
Sam Gallagher won the Thundercar feature for his first career victory. The Silver Spring Speedway Street Stock stock cars returned to make up their rained out July 31st show with Paul Morgan getting his third win of the season in the 20-lapper.
Lincoln Speedway is back in action  for their final Saturday night show on October 23rd at 7 p.m. with 410 sprints and Thundercars. A Flea Market for Racers is set for November 13th and the honor their top performers at their annual banquet on Saturday, November 20th at 6 p.m.
MAPLE GROVE RACEWAY presented the Lucas Oil NHRA POWERade Nationals this past weekend with Tony Schumacher able to get another win. He also clinched the Top Fuel title for 2004, his second championship, for the U.S.Army sponsored team (a great day for the Army as their sponsored car also won the NASCAR Nextel Cup race with Joe Nemechek at the wheel at Kansas Speedway), even though there are still two events on the schedule.
Gary Scelzi won the Funny Car title and Jason Line was tops in Pro Stock. Richboro, PA’s Kenny Koretsky set a new track record for Pro Stocks but even more important to him was he was able to move from 11th to 9th in the point standings with his Nitro Fish Wear Dodge.
THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, October 16th, the NASCAR Busch Series North take part in the TrimSpa 150 at Wall Township Speedway in Belmar, NJ. This is an opportunity to see some great Busch Series action on a high banked asphalt third mile and that makes for some exciting racing. It all starts at 6 p.m. This show was rained out back on October 2nd.
Another event  coming up that may be of interest. On November 13th the DIRT Southeast Series Big Block Modifieds will be in action along with Sportsman stock cars. Racing starts at 1 p.m. for the Bridgeport, NJ Speedway show.
